Mackenzie Page Photography

Bio:
Mackenzie is a Michigan-based photographer who focuses on environmental and landscape photography. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2019 with a BFA in photography. Growing up near the shoreline of Lake Michigan, Mackenzie has always had a passion for the wildlife and ecosystems that make up her home state. Having the opportunity to travel internationally, her passion for capturing the relationship between human impact and the environment has grown exponentially. Through the use of altered perspective and alternative mediums, Mackenzie aims to capture unique moments found in nature. She hopes that her photographs will remind her viewers that we are connected to every part of our planet, no matter how small.
"Every body of water in Michigan impacts our ecosystems. From small inland ponds to our vast Great Lakes, every landscape is shaped by the presence of water. From aiding in the decay of leaves in autumn, to the lake-effect snow that blankets our forests and beaches in the winter, to the rains that create new blooms in spring, I am inspired to capture these moments and how they change as a direct result of our Great Lakes' impact. If we don't protect and advocate for these bodies of water, we won't have these incredible landscapes to enjoy."
