Karole Marois
"The everchanging moods and colours of Lake Ontario
inspire my work."
Bio:
Karole Marois is a Canadian figurative painter living on the shore of Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County. Her work focuses on our profound connection with water. Combining her lifelong love of water with her passion for depicting the human form, she paints with acrylics on mostly large wood panels, using a quasi watercolour technique to highlight the water-based characteristic of the medium.
Her paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally and two of her large multipanel artworks are in the collections of the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa and the City Hall of Apeldoorn in the Netherlands.
